One of my earliest, and fondest, memories is standing on a stool in my Grandmother’s kitchen baking cupcakes with her in Royston, Hertfordshire.
Many years later when I had my own children, I made a promise to myself that I would make their birthday cakes every year.
This is when my journey into cake decorating started.
I realised that the many hours I spent pouring love into their cakes, that I truly loved what I was doing.
I attended courses to develop my skills and strived to make every cake better than the last.
This passion has now grown into a business. I feel so privileged to meet couples who are at the beginning of their own journey together and create wedding cakes and cakes for extra special celebrations.
My husband was born in Venezuela and raised in the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira. I take huge delight in our family gatherings where food is everything! Recipes are handed down through generations and I always come away inspired.
I work with care and dedication, getting to know my clients to ensure the cake I design is truly bespoke to them.
I pride myself on my cake flavours, finishing and attention to detail, nothing leaves Kelly’s Kitchen until I am satisfied that it is absolutely perfect.
About us - Kelly's Kitchen has been registered with North Herts District Council (based in Royston, Herts near Cambridge)and I have been awarded a 5 food safety rating. I am fully insured and I carry a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
About us - My cakes are baked using the finest quality ingredients sourced local to Royston and Cambridge. My recipes are tried and tested. Some of my recipes have been passed down through generations.

All of my cakes are covered in either milk, white or dark chocolate ganache prior to covering in sugar paste. This sets firmer than buttercream and allows the freshness of the cake to be locked in for longer.
